A La Carte and Smart Snacks

Did you know that Nutrition Services is self-funded? This means that the money it earns from food sales to students, families, and staff, along with funding from federal and state programs, goes toward covering the cost of food, salaries and benefits for employees, and taking care of equipment and other operational expenses.

Nutrition Services offers a la carte options at middle school and high school levels.  All options meet the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Smart Snack regulations and follow the district’s wellness standards.  The snacks come in smaller portions and are designed to be lower in fat, sugar, and sodium. Some tasty options include whole grain cookies, baked chips, 100% sparkling juice, popcorn, and reduced-sugar fruit snacks.
